Joel Lautier

Chief Executive Officer

CEO and founder of RGG Capital with a top-management experience in strategic and corporate finance consulting since 2006.

Founder and the first Chairman of the M&A Working Group at the Association of European Businesses (AEB), which includes more than 150 companies.

For 12 years he was a Member of the Board of Directors (MBD) of Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFR), until 2020. 

In March 2020, Joel Lautier was appointed as a new Independent Non-Executive Director of Sovcombank, one of the largest private banks in Russia, which is included in the country's list of systemically important banks.


Mr Lautier currently serves on the Board of Directors of MOEX-listed Russian company ”Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica”, which provides innovative solutions in the field of power supply and energy saving for complex industrial facilities.

Studied M&A and finance at the Wharton business school (USA) in 2008. In 2014 he graduated with honours and obtain Executive MBA degree from SCOLKOVO Moscow school of Management, top international business school in Russia and CIS.

Chess career: World-class Chess Grandmaster, World Junior Chess Champion (1988), best player in France for 15 years, since 1989 to 2004, Quarter-finalist at the World Championship (2001), positive lifetime score in tournament encounters against World Champion Garry Kasparov - 2 wins, 7 draws and 1 loss over ten games, winner of more than forty tournaments on the top professional circuit.
